In Valverde de Leganés, a municipality in the province of Badajoz, in Spain’s Extremadura region, Paradigma estudio – María Navarro Cifuentes & Manuel Jesús Píriz Gil – has completed this health center in an area which is undergoing an urbanization process. With roofs that slope to form a jagged silhouette, recalling the lines of tilled lands, the building breaks up its long volume to adapt to the scale of the place. Twin pieces, each of which embraces a courtyard, come in contact in a way that forms a central space surrounded by consultation rooms. With bright interiors, the functional program is organized by means of a structural system of tercios.
